Kurt Zadek Lewin

Kurt Zadek Lewin (September 9, 1890 – February 12, 1947) was a German-American psychologist, known as one of the modern pioneers of social, organizational, and applied psychology in the United States. Lewin is often recognized as the "founder of social psychology". Kurt Lewin developed a change model involving three steps: Unfreeze, Change, Freeze (or Refreeze) in the context of management. Kurt Lewin and colleagues in "Patterns of aggressive behavior in experimentally created social climates" 1939 identified three different styles of leadership-Autocratic, Democratic and Laissez-Faire.
